Here are the audio files to help them to become familiar with the pronunciation and reading of the words at home. These should be used with a Kumon CD booklet. Please ask me for one if you do not have one:

Study Approach

It is important for your child to study the worksheets with the following three steps:

• Read the section title, instructions, examples, passage, question and answer sentence, before writing their answer.

• Write their answer in the spaces provided.

• Re-read the whole answer sentence so they can identify any errors.

 

Correction Approach

When doing corrections:

• Identify and erase only the wrong part(s) of the answer

  • Re-read the answer to find spelling mistakes, missing and/or repeated words.

  • Re-read the question to check whether or not the answer answers it.

  • Re-read the passage and underline the part where your child think the answer lies.

• Rewrite only the wrong part(s) of the answer.

• Double-check the answer by rereading it.
